Prevention Now is driven by the vision of a world where data informs action, organizations trust and depend on one another, and no person fears violence.
Co-founders Kristen Hubbell and Mark Clookie presented at the 2023 Praxis Summit Nonprofit Accelerator Showcase. Prevention Now was one of 12 nonprofits selected in a competitive national program for nonprofits addressing major issues of the time.
As Co-Founder and Board Member, Mark Clookie has been and continues to be a strong visionary partner for the organization.
As Co-Founder and CEO, Kristen Hubbell leads the organization in achieving the vision she and Mark set forth.
We're headquartered in Oregon, but our team serves from around the nation.
We are deeply connected in head and heart with the urgency and spirit of the important work to be done. We find joy in serving our clients, our partners and one another.
In life and work we have the courage to seek solutions for impossible problems. We are bold and take risks when we see opportunities to make the world a better place.
We believe that there’s enough time, resources, and goodwill for the essential work of ending human trafficking. We deliberately lead with generosity, not scarcity, recognizing that this work requires all of us.
We see people as people and cherish the unique qualities of one another. Our partners and those we serve make us stronger together.
We know the only way we can be the best for our clients, partners, and one another is to be filled up and ready to fight another day.
Co-founders Kristen Hubbell and Mark Clookie have a combined 45 years in local, national, and international law enforcement, including the FBI and NCIS. They founded Prevention Now because they knew without data driving efforts, more support for organizations on the ground, and hyper-focusing on prevention that the number of people experiencing human trafficking would continue to increase.
Leveraging their unique backgrounds, deep experience, and passion for serving where the greatest need exists, Kristen and Mark established a vision where data, innovative technology, and collaborative partnerships can be strategically used to stop trafficking before it starts.

We focused on building community partnerships to better understand the data needs across the movement and tested the most effective technical approach.
Partnered with key agencies to develop breakthrough AI innovation that identifies unique pathways into human trafficking for specific communities.
We are replicating our model across the US, collaborating with new partner agencies and supporting more communities in need.
We will be scaling the Prevention Model so it can meet the need for any community in the US and beyond that wants to see a fuller picture.
